Here in Ottawa at Sports Experts, Nanospeed 8000 cost less than Armortec 800, whereas most other 'online' places, it's the opposite...anyone knows why this is the case?

    Thanks

I don't know why you would care such a thing. Both rackets are expensive anyway, it doesn't matter which one is more expensive.

Why ask why, just get the one you like the best at the lowest price you can get. The newest and more expensive might not be the best for you anyway. The store might have made a mistake on the price. Take the advantage if the racquet is the right one for you.

Awww...comon guys...dont need to be so rough. Well, msot liekly its the supply and demand factor. More people in your area want AT800 than NS8000, therefore NS 8000 is cheaper :p.

Hey don't worry mate. You have your reasons for asking the question and they should respect that and not make assumptions. Don't be put off by this - the guys on this forum are pretty supportive most of the time :)

It's the same here (btw, I live in Yogyakarta, Indonesia). The most surprising is that MP99 and AT700 price is more expensive than AT800. AT700 is the most expensive Yonex racket here.

Observing from most Yonex official distributor website, it is more logical - and safe to conclude that NanoSpeed 8000 should be the most expensive Yonex racquet at the moment.

However, I would assume that the demand for Amortec 800 is far reaching more popular than NanoSpeed 8000.

well..perhaps.. that most indonesian player champs use... amortec series..

Taufik Hidayat (Winner: IBF World Championship) , Wijaya Chandra (Runner up double) , Nova Widianto (Winner: Mixed double), are all use Amortec 700

    [indo gitu loh] lol

Yonex racquet selling prices are initially set by each regional/country Yonex affiliate or distributor but may be market-driven later on.
I don't know if this has anything to do with why the AT800 is more expensive than the Nano8K : the AT800 and AT700 have some ultra high modulus graphite on the frame with titanium for strength; the MP100 has more ultra high modulus graphite on the frame; the Nanos have only high modulus. Ultra high modulus graphite is super expensive, especially now with sky-high energy bills.

    At800 vs NS8K

    Hi,
U mean Ultra high modulus graphite is very expensive? Then, AT800 obviously will become more valuable than other rackets. Those who buy AT800 will benefit lah!!!;) Haliluyah...........:p :p

Not really, for unlike gold you cannot melt down your racquet and recover the UHMG. Even if you could do that how are you going to recycle it to make another racquet? :D
