hey guys, i use the yonex bg-65 ti string...i strung my m.p88 blue at 22 lbs. at first the string was veryy good it ofers a sweet sound when you hit the bird proprely but the sound isn't as loud as the bg-85 but the control i awsome my clears always land near the back corr. or on the line hehe it has a good repulsion , not excellent but good enough .. the durabily is also great i had my racquet strung a month ago and the string is at 20 lbs about now.So , What do you guys think about this string !?
woah.. thats harsh.. lol Anyway.. its a good string.. produce solid sound when u smash! I love it! but somehow durability isn't as good as it claims
Indeed. After 3 weeks of play 2-3 times a week, the tension on my at 700 is around 20ish lbs when it was originally strung at 24.
I would expect it stay at that tension for abit longer but I reckon it was the same as the legendary and ordinary BG-65 if not less... so yeah, my fave string is still BG88,80,85.. The sting itself cost about ¥1000 (I think..) and is not worth it.
worst still.. my 1st 24lb snaped less than 1 month... and my 2nd one 23lb snaped in within 2 month (all snaped in the middle)... after that I had a serious reconsideration on the choices of string... I went back to BG65 or 70pro now using bg-68ti.. and I am loving it!!!!!
IMO, BG65Ti has good power but poor control. My net shots sometimes slip away using BG65Ti. I think BG80 is a good alternative.
Loses tension way too fast!!!! I felt my control became worse and worse and repulson more and more every game. Crazy tension loss with this string. Im goign to try bg 68ti instead.
Actually...my feel is that repulsion is more when freshly strung. It's designed to be not repulsive, and it's certainly not that repulsive when compared to BG68Ti. As for tension, it seems to hold, after an initial break-in period. And if the stringer pre-stretches the string, tension after the break-in doesn't drop as much.
For me, this string is gud at evrything cept for nets. it feels quite explosive when i smash, but when i drop, the bird also lands in front of the service line, so i like the control too. or maybe im jus gud at drops. clears are easy to do too, i can hit from baseline to baseline with it. pushes r kinda bad though, they go way too high. but that could be cuz i suck at drives one thing that i didnt like though was the control at the net. the bird doesnt spin well when i usually do a net spin, and usually it floats quite high above the net. and actually, the tension doesnt loosen that much for me. it usually stayed at where i want it for up to 2 weeks. weird...
Noooo I checked my drawer... in it bg-68ti and bg-85! not 80!! lol~ I should have bought an 80 to try out
good string. last long time (well, this is my 2nd month with it). I have mine strung at 23 lbs on BK i920. this is the only kind I can get that is a tad better than bg-65 without going to a bigger city. power wise..hmmm...ok. can't really tell the differences feel/control.. (idem as above)
how long would bg80 last? if strung around 26 lbs? anyways, for me bg65ti is my choice for now, still poking around for that string which has and keeps it's crisp feeling and power. i think bg65 ti breaks a lot faster than the 65. about 2-3 weeks, twice a week at 26 lbs took mine out.
