More new shoes or old ones in new color schemes

As title. I don't know the availability for North America and therefore can't answer the question about when to have them.

Anybody here know what model the black shoes are?

FYI, for those who live in the Philippines, the Wave Smash S2 with the new colors (as seen in the first post) are already available in Mizuno Megamall.

Would you be able to inform me about the price good sir? Not to stray too far from the topic, but what are the average prices for shoes in the Philippines? Where is the best place for badminton shoes, preferably in Metro Manila area?

    thanks :)

yonex shoes usually start around 2000pesos, the shb-99m is sold here for 5200pesos, the shb-99lim(red/silver) 5700pesos, but i got my shb-99m for 3700. mizunos top of the line model is sold for 4600-4800pesos. usually the prices are from mall stores(tobys sports, yonex, etc.) but if you would buy it at badminton specialty shops you could get it for less:) the malls are located at ortigas center and makati, the small stores you could find it at greenhills.

My brother came back from the phillipines and brought me back a pair of the Mizuno Wave Smash S2 (blue and white one pictured in this thread) purchased for about $100 CAD after exchange rate at the Mizuno Super Mall.

I have yet to play in them, but the shoe looks great, very comfortable and light especially after i put in my super feet performance green insoles.

I guess the only reason i find the shoe very light is because i'm currently using the Mizuno Wave Epic 03 volleyball shoe.

What i find a very nice touch with shoe is a how the inner part where you normally drag your racquet foot is fairly protected. other shoes usually have stitchings right at the spot and i find that they break very easily introducing holes.

I own 2 pairs of the Mizuno wave Smash S2s pictured above (red shoe, first pic in first post). I ordered these shoes from overseas from www.luxissportnet.com.

Odds are that you will not find the models of mizuno shoes for badminton here in canada. You will only find mizuno volleyball shoes in canada. Those can be located at Sport Chek or from www.canuckstuff.com

The only canadian store that i know of that carries mizuno badminton shoes is Lee's Badminton: http://www.leesbadminton.ca/modeng/name/onlinestore/category/8

The Mizuno badminton shoes are FAR superior compared to the mizuno vball shoe (I own Mizuno Wave Spike 9s) for badminton.

I'm a mizuno fan boy..never worn yonex shoes before.

the mizunos look like shoes that perform as well as Yonexes even though the price difference is substantial.

is their durability and performance comparable?

i've never tried one because itz unavailable in US. in asia, those mizunos are definitely priced above some of the yonex even on the high end i think. i heard from ppl that used them say they were really comfy and gives great support and stability. some rank mizunos higher than yonexes. in asia mizunos can be really expensive depending on which pairs u get.
