Wow. After all those upsets who'd have guessed you'd end up with more Koreans in the finals than Taiwanese (oops, I guess it's 3 each, isn't it but Taiwan only has a chance at 1.5 golds)? I guess the all-Korean MS Final wasn't tough to predict but Yohan Wiratama did some giant-killing in the Hong Kong Open including the elimination of Lee Hyun-il. And Seo Yoon-hee over CSC. This is the first time in the last year that the Korean has made it past the quarter-finals in any tournament. I'm hoping for Seo to avenge her compatriots against Hallam, who took to out 3 Koreans in the Korea Open earlier this year and beat one of them again in Malaysia. In a way, there are also more Indonesians in the finals than Taiwanese if you count expats.
Hi, seawell, they are Taiwanese though ....ooo....I don't understand why CSC lost....hope the Taiwanese pair can win the title again in their home ground.... And Tony Gunawan.... ...you are still a greaaaattttt player......hope you can win this title.....Jia You.......
At first I thought you were telling me that one of the teams was actually from the PRC but now I realize that you're saying that members of the "Chinese-Taipei" team should be referred to as Chinese rather than Taiwanese. Fair enough. I stand corrected. For the record, though, if the Chinese-Taipei team members are not Taiwanese then that would make the number of Taiwanese left in the tournament zero. Hence, the Koreans and Indonesians are necessarily more numerous. As for Cheng and Chien's gold medals, they would end up remaining on the island of Taiwan so strictly speaking nothing I wrote was incorrect except for the clause "if you count [Indonesian] expats". But I was wrong in spirit and I stand by my admission.
actually i have indigenous blood on both my mother and my father's side, thank you very much. i don't have to prove anything to anyone. as long as i know, thats good enough for me. in fact native taiwanese are more like indonesians and southeast asians than chinese.
