    Chinese Taipei Open 2005 Final

    Predictions in bold.

    MEN'S SINGLES
Lee Hyun Il (1) vs Shon Seung Mo (4)
-- no surprise there, an all-Korean final. I think Lee will win it

    WOMEN'S SINGLES
Tracey Hallam (1) vs Seo Yoon Hee (3)
-- a tragic day for the Taiwanese, with both Cheng and Chien eliminated. I predict the Korean girl will take the title after an impressive win over Cheng today.

    MEN'S DOUBLES
    Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen (1) vs Tony Gunawan/Halim Heryanto (7)
-- similarly, no surprise here. Tony/Halim to win their second title of the year.

    WOMEN'S DOUBLES
    Chien Yu-Chin/Cheng Wen-Hsing (1) vs Kate Wilson-Smith/Kellie Lucas (3)
-- unless fatigue sets in, the Taiwanese pair should retain their title!

    MIXED DOUBLES
    Tony Gunawan/Cheng Wen-Hsing vs Devin Lahardi/Vita Marissa
-- based on experience, Tony/Cheng will take it. BUT, I am going to root for the Indonesian pair here! I hope they can get their first title together! They should replace Anggun/Yunita and become Team Indonesia's no 2 mixed doubles pair next year. No matter what, their ranking will go up to the 20s by next week.

Lee Hyun Il will definately beat Shon-Seung Mo. Mo has lost 2/3s of his vision in his right eye. If you know how to play against him how can he overcome that massive handicap?

From what I heard, Shon was hit in the eye by a shuttle when he was younger, resulting in the partial blindness.

How can you say "definitely"? Nothing is itched in stone until after the fact. :)

well... if they train together Lee will know about Mo's eye condition and use it for his advantage. * since they must play together a lot it should be a pretty big handicap
