    anyone has the latest results of the Masters so far???

    only know Danes beat msian in MD, Peter beat Eric Pang.. both in 2 straight games.. btw, Copenhagen Masters is using 15-point system?

    XD going on now bet Danes n Eng

    there's a post somewhere about it - it's a piece of software that shows some satellite channel feeds from around the world.. you can get cctv5 on it - and other channels..

    Don't know if this has been posted or not, but found a somewhat "related" article to the Copenhagen Masters, taken from Jawapos.com

    Strategi Intip Kekuatan Lawan

    JAKARTA - Persaingan di Copenhagen Masters 2005 mulai tersaji dini hari besok. Dalam turnamen bulu tangkis penutup musim ini, PB PBSI hanya mengirimkan satu pasangan ganda pria. Itu pun pasangan baru, Flandy Limpele/Alven Yulianto. Biasanya, Flandy berpasangan dengan Eng Hian dan Alven bermain bersama Luluk Hadiyanto.

    Di laga perdananya, pasangan Flandy/Alven, yang berada di grup 2, bertarung dengan pasangan China Fu Haifeng/Cai Yun. Selain dua pasangan itu bercokol pasangan tuan rumah Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen.

    Pada turnamen ini hanya terdiri dari dua grup dengan tiap grup hanya diisi tiga pasangan/pemain. Even itu pun hanya mempertandingkan tiga nomor, yaitu tunggal pria, ganda pria, dan ganda campuran.

    PBSI sebenarnya mendapat undangan dari panpel Copenhagen Masters untuk lima orang. Mereka adalah pemain tunggal pria Taufik Hidayat, ganda nomor satu dunia saat ini Candra Wijaya/Sigit Budiarto, dan juara dunia ganda campuran Nova Widianto/Lilyana Natsir. Tapi, yang dikirimkan akhirnya hanya pasangan Flandy/Alven.

    Apakah pasangan anyar tersebut dibebani target? " Tidak ada target khusus bagi Flandy/Alven. Even ini kan berdasar undangan, jadi tidak akan mempengaruhi apa-apa," tegas pelatih ganda pria pelatnas, Christian Hadinata, kepada Jawa Pos kemarin.

    Mantan pemain spesialis ganda itu menambahkan, dengan menurunkan pasangan baru ini sangat menguntungkan bagi Indonesia. Itu dikarenakan Indonesia dapat mengukur kekuatan ganda pria negara lain, guna persiapan menghadapi Piala Thomas 2006. Apalagi, yang berlaga adalah pasangan-pasangan yang kemungkinan besar adalah pasukan inti Tim Thomas masing-masing negara.

    " Kami bisa mengukur kemajuan mereka. Sedangkan negara lain tidak mengetahui kekuatan Indonesia ," ungkap Christian.

    Pria berambut putih ini juga mengatakan, meski pasangan baru, Flandy/Alven tidak boleh diremehkan. Apalagi, Flandy merupakan pemain yang sangat cepat beradaptasi dengan pemain lain. "Itu juga diketahui lawan-lawannya. Sehingga, Flandy/Alven tidak mungkin dianggap sebelah mata," tegasnya.

    Sebelumnya, Christian memutuskan untuk melakukan perombakan pasangan di ganda pria. Alasan di pasangkankannya Flandy/Alven ini karena Luluk sangat lama masa pemulihannya usai mengikuti suatu turnamen. Sedangkan, empat pasangan terkuat di pelatnas akan diturunkan pada All England pertengahan Januari mendatang.

    All England sendiri akan menjadi ajang evaluasi terakhir untuk penentuan siapa yang berhak menjadi pasangan proyeksi Piala Thomas. Sebab, untuk masuk tim hanya butuh tiga pasangan. Selain pasangan Flandy Limpele/Eng Hian dan Alven Yulianto/Luluk Hadiyanto, yang juga diseleksi adalan pasangan Candra/Sigit serta Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan.+

    "Copenhagen Masters juga menjadi ajang evaluasi saya. Jika penampilan pasangan baru ini bagus, mungkin juga di babak kualifikasi dan final Piala Thomas dan Uber dipasangkankan lagi," pungkas Christian.(dio)
