    Taipei title for Tracey

TRACEY HALLAM lived up to her top seeding to win the women's singles title at the Chinese Taipei Open today.

Tracey, a world championship quarter-finalist in Anaheim, was one of only three European-born players in the draw but the victory will set her up for the Yonex All England Championships at Birmingham's NIA in mid-January and her bid to recapture the English National title at Manchester Velodrome at the start of February.

    Women's singles semi-finals:
    (1) Tracey Hallam (England) bt Chien Yu-Chin (Ch-Taipei) 13-11 11-0
    (3) Seo Yoon Hee (Korea) bt Cheng Shao-Chieh (Ch-Taipei) 11-7,11-7
