I am in a search for another racquet and grip as Christmas season dawns, and as I become a more serious badminton player.
    Grip
    1. I prefer tacky grips.
    2. I like soft grips.
    3. I am familiar with overgrips.
    4. I care more about performance over durability.
    5. I also sweat a lot.

    Racquet
    1. I have a full comprehension of the basics of badminton and have been getting more true experience. I try to play 3-4 days a week and am looking into begin training for tournament.
    2. I would guess that my style is mainly fast attacking.
    3. My priority in a racquet is performance over durability.
    4. I'm willing to spend as much as needed as long as it is not completely overdoing it.

    :)

I don't know too much about the grips that you may get over there or from Yonex, since I buy Klipper grips, don't know if you have heard of them before, but if you prefer performance over durability in a racket, get a Calrton Tour or some high end Carlton, if its quality then get a Yonex.

Grip: Wilson X-Tra Tack or Gamma Supreme

Racket: SOTX Woven 9. If Yonex, AT800-DE.

LOL, S4MadMan is promoting the Woven 9 where ever that is possible.

But I gotto agree with S4MadMan that Woven 9 is a good all around (little bit toward offensive) racket, and Woven 12 if you are planning to spend more. For Yonex, I would pick the AT800-OF over the DF, and AT 500 is also good and much cheaper choice. ;)

Nope, not promoting, just sharing my opinion.

Disagree on the OF over DE. I think the offense of both are comparable but the DE has significantly better defense and is better at the net. But I agree, the AT500 is a great choice too. :)

    Kason TSF 200

Try Kason's top of the line racket, TSF 200.

This racket has a powerful smash and an excellent performance overall.
    Check out the pictures.

I am looking at the Carlton PowerBlade Titanium and Prince Axis 70 as choices. How are they? My current racquet is Prince Axis 65.

From what you describe I would not think The headlight Carlton Ti would be a good fit.. The Axis could be ok, if you're on a budget, but if you like prince Y-frame (and not long-shaft (only Prince more XL is long shaft to my knowledge), I would suggest Prince +More 87 over the older Axis models.

Anyway I think the advice on Woven 9 and AT500 is sound alternatives.

if u are a attacker, then go for at700.
it has the performance u want but not really durable.

    very suitable for fast attacking

I just received a Qiangli BG605 racket from Santa :D Do you think that this racket is suitable for me? It is said to be an advanced level racquet and does not weigh too heavy. Could someone also inform me of the purpose for the parts in the plastic package attached to the racquet? I hear that Qiangli racquets have recently been introduced to sales, but are big in China. Regardless of performance (never tried), I think that's one of the nicest, cleanest looking rackets around. :D

The grip I came across is Wilson Ultra tack. So far, so good. Its trademark is tackiness and feel. The sweat absorbing and durability is also holding up for now. :)

    1. Now you can give us a review regarding to this racket. ;)

    2. The plastic package contains extra replacement gromments. Once a gromment is damaged, you can give this to your stringer, to replace it before re-string your racket. ;)

I use this racket also, and I would rate it roughly a 7 to 8 out of 10. This is my first advanced racket which I received just a while ago. The main characteristics of this racket that stand out for me is that it feels very comfortable to use, the power is definitely present, and there is a lot of control when I do drop shots and drive serves.

here is some info I found about the racket: http://www.qiangli.com/en/prolist.asp?job=detail&id=920&protype=1

Hope this is of benefit ;)
