    Hi all badminton lovers,

I just wonder what's everyone's opinion on the best combination of string and racquet without the tension and other elements. Please simply state in what combination of string and racquet that you think is BEST FOR YOU. Please indicate why you think it is the best.

    i use a ns8k, with a 21 lbs BG-80.

i just love the feel of the ns8k, stiffness is suiting me, control is 110%.

BG-80 because i string my own rackets and can tehrefore afford to string it more times then regular. feeling is perfect, holds tension nice...

    I am here to start

I like the combination of Yonex BG65-Ti with all my racquets: Ti-10 x3, MP-77 x1, NS8000 x1 and Cab30ms x2. Because I like the feel of impact althoug it feels stiff compared to BG65 and I seem to be able to produce harder smashes with BG65-Ti. The other reason is that it last me for a good period of time usually 3 month or so and it is realtively cheap in Taiwan I can get it for about $4 US.

However my opinion is limited I have only tried BG-65 and BG-65-Ti. I am looking forward to read your opinion so I will try the strings you recommended.

    NS8000. BG80.

NS8000 gives a nice amount of control.
BG85 is nice - tension stays constant, good feel - but dies off faster than fruit flies (which is probably why the tension is constant!) :( BG80 gets a similar feel with much improved durability.

    Yup :)

As far as tension is concerned, I think strings only really start to show their differences as the tensions increase... too low (22 or less?) and the softness of the tension seems to affect the play of the strings more IMHO ;)

Currently using Forten Ti-65 which I found out is quite nice but my favourite string is still the BG-80 at 24Ibs.

Played with the following racquets for 10+hrs each at some point:

    NS8000 3U
    NS7000 3U
    AT800DE 4U
    AT800OF 3U & 4U
    AT700 3U
    AT500 3U
    MP100 2U
    MP99 2U & 3U
    MP77 2U & 3U
At least 10 different Black Knight racquets
    3 different Carlton racquets

Used the following strings before from just strung until breaking:
    BG65
    BG65Ti
    BG65P
    BG70Pro
    BG75Ti
    BG80
    BG85
    BG88Ti
    CBG100
    Ashaway Microlegend XL
Ashaway MicroPower (I think it also has the suffix "XL")

After all of it, I love BG65P but it's hard to get and expensive, so my next best favorite is BG80. Favorite racquet is NS7000.

    Currently I keep on hand 4 x NS7000 with BG80 at 25x27lbs :) Good combo for me!

Looks like BG80 is a popular string. I must try it next time.
