Body rotation, not pronation. The throwing action is more like an outfielder than a pitcher. The body is postioned side on to the intended direction of the smash. For the body rotation, the hips (& waist) start turning first followed by the (upper) torso. The arm swing starts AFTER the shoulders (torso) start their rotation.
