HMM...if this is really true....OH YEAH!!!

As I mentioned earlier, LCW is not on his top form at Manila.

Yeah, the other day he was defeated by Wong Choong Hann (two sets) in the Malaysia-Indonesia 5th and deciding game. Good for Santoso to recover from that loss as we expect the Indonesian team to beat Malaysia in the Men's team finals. I think LCW is not playing 100%, he struggled against the guy from Vietnam (Nguyen Tien Minh) and almost lost the game. He lost the 1st set and was down 0-8 in the second set and at match point (11-14), luckily the vietnamese committed an error and he was able to win the 2nd set. The third set was total domination by LCW as the vietnamese tired out. A doctor was even called to check the status of the players as they would sit after every rally, they are really exhausted, good for LCW he is the stronger player. But today, his luck run out as he again struggled against Santoso.

Btw, the score is 15-11 and 15-9.

I agree with you based on what i saw in his game against boonsak and taufik and the report from my friend watching the games live. Too bad, i already bought a ticket expecting he will be playing in the finals against Hashim.

    Thanks.
Hmmh, if this is *the price we have to pay* for not fielding Taufik in the individual event, it's really worth it. :)

Go Simon! Don't be afraid of big names of badminton, you could be one of them soon :D

No wonder...I didn't know Nguyen Tien Minh held a match point yesterday. It must have been his inexperience that caused him to lose the second set and eventually the match.

Good result for Simon...and hopefully he can build on it. 2 solid wins over Boonsak and LCW certainly do good to his credentials. If only he is not that "lazy" as some mentioned.....

Will be an all-Indo final in 3 disciplines tomorrow? We shall await as today's results unfold slowly......

DEFINITELY! We have to learn how to "sacrifice" our veterans in order to realize the potential stars we have.

On a side note, I am also pretty disappointed at the decisions by Indonesian tennis federation (PELTI) in fielding some veterans like Wynne, Romana and Suwandi. I thought we also some potential youngsters coming up the ranks in tennis too. Too bad Angie is still injured...otherwise, she can definitely win the gold.

We know LCW is not on top form. And we also know that Simon himself is a very talented player with great skill and techniques. How's the match going?
