Hello all. Just wondering if anyone know exactly what his injury was? I mean the complete medical term, diagnosis, treatment, etc. I couldn't find details through a brief Google search. I do recall reading somewhere that it was quite baffling to the Danish medical community until a doctor came back from a medical conference somewhere in Asia where the exact condition and treatment was presented.

Thanks in advance for any leads.

As far as I remember, this was a rare foot injury he had.
Knee injury came after, forcing him to end his career...

You're right. I just re-read his retirement article on the IBF website. It says that his foot injury was so rare that only 20 people worldwide are known to suffer from it.

I'd still like to know what it is and learn about it, though.
