I haven't played badminton, or have done anything strenuous to my racquet arm for a month or 2 now, but there's been this developing pain in my shoulder area, at the very top of tricep. It's a very sharp pain, and I'm afraid that if I start playing badminton again, I will get severly injured. I've had an injury in that area before, torn rotator cuff, but it's never been an issue until recently. At times, it'll hurt when I'm opening doors, others, I won't even feel it. what should I do?
"And thus doth conscience make cowards of us all" -Hamlet But hey, it would be smarter to have it checked than to try to ignore it. It could be dangerous on a long-term view of things. Face your problem and solve it. So doctor. ASAP.
im similar. for a few years i have been playing badminton and nothing serious has happened to my shoulder. Its like when you open doors the tendons contracts and its hurts. But mine is not serious and i have no idea why it is happening now and it hasn happened to me before. I think you should either rest your arm, dont do anything big movements which cause pain and overtime it should go away. Then have a few LIGHT swings with your racket. Or like the others said see the physio good luck
i bet the doctor gives u a list of strengthening excercises, stretches and tells you to take ibprufen
I went to doctor, she gave me tyenol and said it was just strain. So i played badminton yesterday, didn't do too bad. Now it's just normally sore.
Pains Hi, I think u have probably suffer a sprain on that location. See a physio or an acupuncturist. Make sure she or he is an experienced practioner. I suffered a bad backache in the past few months. I was treated by an acupuncturist from Wuhan. Wow, I must said she was an expert in this field. After two weeks of treatment, my backache disappeared. The only thing u have to do is consistent treatment for weeks before u see any benefit. Lee
