Hi, I have returned to badminton this october and joined a club On wed nites, I play at the club and on sundays I play at a public gym. Whenever for some reason I had to miss the wed game day, would go to another club on tues or thurs as a guest. There are 2 public gyms I can play at on sundays, so if one is closed, have the other one to go to. However, this week, my club cancelled the wed nite game day, and so I thought, well there's the Thursday one I can goto. But, there were closed as well :crying: So, this Sunday, I hope I can play. I feel so sad now, how can I survive xmas holidays with no badminton :crying: Just wondering if anyone share the same feelings... Regards, sad...and frustrated...in ottawa
hehe.. certified addict.. just like me.. I remembered, me and my family, looking for people to play with on Dec 30. We drove to 4 badminton centers before hooking up with someone to be able to play doubles.. LOL!!!
well..just take a break ..give youself a rest..sometimes u feel much better after u get couple days rest..with better control and more power on ur smash
Its the only thing i look forward when i go to school , and when im out I just want more , sadly. I ha vent played out of school all week and im just dying to play
I know exactly as I feel. However, I see there are many oppertunities to play but no one to play with. My doubles partner has a busy schedule outside of school, my friend went on a vaction, many other people who show interests are begginers to scratch and generally dont show up after promising they would. Its quite frustrating.
I haven't played for over 2 months. No time to play because of school and social life. :crying: I miss badminton so much and my arms twitch somethings and I've been dreaming of badminton lately. My ambitions for badminton were high and I wanted something more out of it but I don't think I can. I think it's time to sell my racquets and call it quits. :crying:
For me badminton is a break from life which has almost become my life. Without badminton to look forward to, or training to improve badminton, I would fall off track. I look at badminton as something I am always getting better at. Its the light at the end of a tunnel of studying/working. I worry about going on holidays b/c I won't get to play badminton and will come back in slightly poorer shape. This Feb my family is going on the annual trip to mexico.... I'm not going lol.
ok.... I guess I'm not the only one feeling this way Yup the almost two weeks between xmas and new year will be very hard...some of you may know, I just bought a new ns8k and am just starting to get used to it...but I think I'm gonna be rusty again after the 2 weeks off.....:crying:
Man, this weekend the local hall was taken by some football-tournament, so we couldn't play, not on friday, not on sunday. I've been watching dvd's all weekend, chase stepping to the kitchen, gripping and stringing my rackets, pakking my stuff, cleaning my shoes..... I'm not even tired But today, finally, I get to play again
hi guys as my partner puts it im a badminton whore!! lol. a normal week for me is: Monday - club night / match (one of the two) Tuesday (rest or match at night) also train with my coach for 3 hours at milton keynes in the day Wednesday (knock up social night) THursday - (gym and running) Friday - (clubnight / match) Saturday - Rest Sunday - (social session) after a knockup tonight ive decided to take a long break over xmas until after the new year to give my body a chance to recover and heal a few niggling injuries i have. trouble is everytime i rest my timing goes completley out when i return. oh well, ill have to put myself thru the torture of resting!!
It's already been more than a week I haven't played, and it's starting again in two weeks. Bloody holidays........
Hi bchaiyow I don't know from where in Ottawa but have you tried other clubs? You can find a list of them with days of practice at www.badmintonottawa.com Norm
Oh yeah, searched there and none of them have anything over the holidays :crying: oh well, another week......:crying: bchaiyow
I played 2 days ago with my brother walking about 1.5 to 2 miles to the leisure centre is pouring rain, and then again today with a friend, walking the same distance and back in freezing cold slippy ice-and-snow conditions... ...It was worth it . I only wish I knew Far more people than the 1 or 2 I currently play with, so I could play more often and have a little variety. Missed badminton over Christmas eve, Day, and Boxing day too, the leisure centre was closed on those days.
