The just concluded National GP 2005 have shown that our Back up players and the BJSS Badminton players standard are still far from our National Team.

I hope in 2006 there will be an improvement in the junior team to narrow up the gap.I hope to start this thread title in search of recognition, discussion and news on the Malaysian Youth Players whom u think will come up and made a mark in 2006.

I have seen Julia Wong playing in GP Finals in Sabah and I would like to say i am impressed with how she has improved this year compared to last year. Guess one year under Rashid and Teh Seu Bock have made a mark on her. She beaten Lydia Cheah in the national GP Semi Final and went on to beat Anita Kaur in the Final.

She will be the player to watch out in the future. BAM is sending her to play in the Swiss Open and German Open.

She lost to Wang Lin of China 11-1, 11-0 and couldn't make it to the first round.

Wang Lin is very good. Have seen her played. She has sharp deceptive shot and she should be one of the China Top Player in the future. She is only 17.

Somehow Malaysian have yet to have a young player like her. Probably could be the training program.

Have anyone seen the training at the Badminton Academy which currently all the junior players have been training? During the all england it is mentioned that some of the double players werethe product of this academy.

I am wondering what the training like and who are the coaches? Who are the youth players who are currently attached with the academy.

after watching Wang Lin of China won her maiden six star tournament at 17 the age of 17. wow.... China did it again. they are producing champion again.

could we Malaysian produce girls like her. What sort of training she has that she could excel. It is refreshing watching her played. She has good anticipation and a few good deceptive skills. Her win is not a flute, for she beats Zhang Ning,Wang Chen and then Xie Xingfang.

Wish Malaysia could produce one girl like her.

I agree 100%. I'm sure all Malaysians wish that we have someone like Wang Lin from the ladies department. Not only that we do also want to have a young champ in the mens department as well.
