: How do you determine if your Yonex Racket is genuine? Recently bought a Yonex Isometric 500 racket and I've seen some posts warning about fake rackets. Thanks.
Did you buying the 500 from a sporting goods store? Was it used or new? If new, was the price similar to what other retailers charge?
It's hard to tell from logos/markings cause they can be faked as well. Go into a store and compare the balance/weight/paint-job.
MCL

Dear forumers ive got an inquiry here, im very interested to purchase a second hand Arcsaber but i dont want to waste my money on fake products... Can you please verify it for me whether is legit or not, details are as below.. Facts of the Racket: Serial Number: Shaft 2220257, Cone 090755SP Weight: 3U 19-24lbs Head: Isometric Slim Head Source: Ebay thanks ... your help is really appreciated...
Do you mind explaining how to tell its fake...?? Ive read some of the post where they can tell the date of manufacturing.. from the serial number of the cone ive post, is it written 9/7/2005 SP= Singapore ..??? Please correct me if im wrong... and besides that is there any flaw that can tell its fake..
You pointed out the "fakeness" of the racquet yourself monster. The Arcsaber series did not come out in 2005.
Owh alright i dont really know the timeline of the product because all i know its just Arcsaber, i just want to own my self a really good yonex racquet but after reading lots of fake products in the market, it really scares me somehow if i would consider buying it online ... Thanks for pointing out. I think the best is going to a yonex authorised dealer one day... Thanks and sorry for the stupid questions ive asked... =) Cheers
In my opinion, why buy online when there are so many racket shops in Asian countries such as Malaysia.
im a student actually staying in UK... so a nearest dealer is quite a distance away either by train or bus. That is the reason i thought of buying online... =)
almost all ebay yonex sellers are fake. go read it up on this forum, tons of people have posted discussion since year 2000.
There should be online stores in the UK as well. I'm sure you can find them in other subforums here at BCF.
I think i have to agree with you cooler... id only found out about fake yonex racquet after joining this forum reading most of the discussion. I've never owned a Yonex racquet and after trying out my friends yonex carbonex which is the stiff racquet and i start to like it rather than my current which is the flex type. Yeah actually ive browsed through the buy and sell section here, i dont think i'll be going back to ebay anymore too risky, btw thanks for all your advice here =) appreciate it...
Its not a good idea to buy from ebay unless you do your homework. There are sellers that sell genuine rackets but its always better to buy it from a good reputable store to avoid any hassles.
u welcome. buying from BF sellers is alot safer than ebay. the cheapest racket is the one that fit your need.
sorry to interrupt. there is a thread for ebay's enquiry and it is up-to-date. and, it is stickied. i wonder how can you guys dug up 9 years old thread?
Can someone check whether this racket is fake or not? Model = Yonex Ti-10 2nd Gen (yellow) Shaft = 7201546 Cone = 161078SP
