A friend of mine just got back from Malaysia and while there, he had the opportunity to visit the training facility in Kuala Lumpur. There were 24 courts there. Unfortunately, he wasn't allowed to play as the players were training seriously. He did observe some of the training methods especially for speed and endurance and said it was amazing stuff. I think he's got a few more pics. If I can get those, I'll post too. There a few coaches/players you may recognize... ;)

Pic was just taken last week when he was in KL. He lives in Vancouver though so unless you've seen him here you might have the wrong guy.

He owns a Malaysian restaurant and was in KL buying supplies/ingredients, etc. He's also badminton crazy. His former company was one of the sponsors during the World Juniors in Vancouver.

Not sure if it's not open to the public (as far as he/I know). One of the coaches we met here in Vancouver during the World Juniors brought him in. I think my friend said the facility was at Bukit Kiara. You may want to phone and see. Check the BAM website for contact numbers.

We know they're great kids, very dedicated to making it in international badminton. I'm sure if you send the pic to Thien How, he'll remember it. Are you a friend of his?

Did he have anything interesting to say to you? They still have a lot of work ahead of them plus there are currently many better pairs in the MD pecking order. Hopefully they'll continue their progress. They did Malaysia proud at the World Juniors. :)
