Yeah I was checking out lees site yesterday and I saw the commercial and everything, everyone looks pretty good but no brown people :( guess I might be the first one. That'll be awkward :S. Also doesnt the membership count towards coaching or is that just a registration fee?
    Thanks

I think membership is a reg fee...without it you can't take private lessons

Another way to get some coaching is to participate as a player during one of the Technical Clinics for those trying to get their NCCP certification for badminton. You could volunteer yourself by contacting the co-ordinator of the clinic and ask if any of the coaches-in-training need a student. Check out the Ontario Badminton Association site for any upcoming clinics. They are few and far between but certainly fun and inexpensive (free?) for the players.:p

As long as you find a coach with relatively good English, you should be fine. I've never really seen any brown person get discriminated in badminton tournaments or coaching facilities.
