I have been testing an entirely new racquet, made entirely of vectran, for the last 6 months, and can finally now say that it is one of the best racquets you can get at any price. It has taken me close to one year, starting from initiating the project to its first production batch now. The racquet has been given a strange model name of E-1000. It is made from vectran, a fiber spun from liquid crystal polymer. It also sparkles and glitters like a crystal. It is the same vectran that is only used minimally in Yonex's BG80 and BG85 strings. The Vectran used in this racquet is a higher strength grade and the whole racquet frame and shaft are pure Vectran. Because of the racquet's high strength and modulus, excellent creep and flex resistance, low CTE, outstanding vibration damping characteristics second to none, and high impact resistance, it plays like no other racquet that I have ever played. It has effortless power, great control, great feel, great maneuverability and it is lightning fast. The shuttle seems to bounce off this Vectran racquet a fraction of a second faster than almost all other racquets, due to its excellent creep resistance. Top archers use them for bow strings solely for its excellent creep resistance. Don't be fooled by its lightweight of 81.0g to 83.5g for it packs a punch of a 2U racquet.
Haven't really tried it. But one thing is certain, its crsytal-like surface will outlast any other racquet. It can even withstand a knick from a knife. It plays superlatively and better than other top brand racquets mainly because of its excellent creep resistance. You can get a taste of what and how low creep feels-just think of BG85. The amount of Vectran used in BG85 and BG80 comes to less than 5% and yet you can feel the difference. This all Vectran racquet is 100% Vectran, aside from the handle and grip. An AT700 or AT800 will have tons of vibration at very high tensions. With this E-1000 Vectran a tension of 30lbs will induce no vibration as more of the energy is used up in hitting the shot.
More importantly, is this going to be widely distributed? Do you have a deal with a manufacturing company to make, market, and distribute your rackets? Sounds cool, but until you get widespread distribution I won't be able to try one And, being a "Taneepak special", will the racket come pre-strung at 30 lbs?

The racquet doesn't carry my name. It started off as one of my projects about a year back. I got hold of a HK OEM racquet distributor and asked him to spearhead this project, mainly because I know him well plus he has extensive contact with a hundred and one racquet manufacturing plants in China. I also provided him contact with the Vectran parent company, Hoechst AG. in Germany, the grades of vectran suitable for racquets, as well as Hoechst's local affililiates in China. It took him sometime to get a suitable racquet manufacturer to even contact Hoechst, mainly because of its being new and the absence of a huge vectran material order. The racquet carries the name of "Euro" which is owned by Inskysport in Hong Kong, who will also distribute to distributors elsewhere. I believe Inskysport is known to many members here. It is true, distribution won't be widespread. However, if you are serious about getting one there are ways to get one to you. BTW my only contribution in this racquet was the idea and the contacts plus the "push" that I provided to bring it to fruition. I also qc and ok the E-1000 before release initially. The first 20 E-1000 Vectran racquets have a small round hand-written label, with the words "#1" to "#20", "OK", and then my initials "TEP", stuck onto the clingwrap of the handle. These 20 are the absolute top dogs. As of now "#1" and "#2" are with Inskysport. The remaining 18 racquets will be handed over to Inskysport within a week. Inskysport also has 4 lesser Vectran models which I do not qc because these four are not the top dog like the E-1000. Other than these I have no financial involvement, except that I do get a very limited quantity of customized racquets made for my own use and testing at material costs.
As Birdiegut's requested, please post its specs (e.g., length, balance point, max. string tension, grip size), pictures and price range. Also, if it's going to be available in North America. Lastly, if it's not too much to ask, what's the development plan. IOW, is this going to be a one-off racquet (i.e., one or two manufactured batches and then discontinued), it's a long-term model with minor updates in subsequent years, etc. Thanks in advance.

well, i was pretty close. It's a high tech plastic, newer than fiberglass and kevlar of my first guess. My first thought was vectran would have a low modulus so it wouldnt be suitable for frame construction. This must be 2nd generation vectran or vectran designed with higher modulus. It's good that u have turn an enhancement additive into a core construction material. Did you choose an oval or isometric frame for your first 20 prototypes? I suggest u contact a patent lawyer for advise to protect some design processes because this one is hard to patent.
Sounds interesting.. vectran racket.. m curious how powerful is the racket. Is it head light or head heavy? Most likely the power is generated from the shaft.
all that glitters would attract many new lady players into this sport i dont think vectran has modulus comparable to carbon fibers and would flex more. Tennis racket would benefit more from vectran. Best if one can wove and bond both vectran and carbon fiber together. I dont think taneepak saying no resin used is correct.
