Looking for badminton partner for Toa Payoh Central tournament

    I'm looking for a badminton partner to play in Men's Doubles event in Toa Payoh Central Constituency Badminton Tournament 2006, which will be held at TPC CC Badminton Hall on 25 & 26 Feb. I don't know anyone in Toa Payoh who plays badminton well because I usually play at the east.

    If you're an intermediate/advanced player eager to compete and live in Zone 1 to Zone 6 of Toa Payoh Central Constituency, please email me at budiraha@hotmail.com. Perhaps we can play a game or two before the actual tournament.

    The prizes are not that much but it's a good chance to compete and show your skill
    Prizes for each category:
    Champion: $300
    Runners-Up: $150

    Out of interest, do you know what does 'Zone 1 to Zone 6 of Toa Payoh Central Constituency' mean? I have been staying in Toa Payoh for 30 years but wasn't aware it was divided into zones.

    Maybe you can PM 'netasia', 'protomedea' or 'surge'. They stay in Toa Payoh and are pretty good players IMHO :)

    I also don't understand the zones, but I think it covers all of 'Toa Payoh'. Forgot to mention that registration fee is only $2. If we win, we'll split the prize :)

    Hello Vorx,
    You can try Tuesday at Chong Pang CC 7.30pm. Ask for Ah Heng and say the extreme guy recommended you for a test hit. I am in Jakarta now shopping for YY tshirts and FlyPower shoes for my buddies/friends. Let me know if your student want alternate brands. You can offer them more varieties of brands.:D

    You can also try the ebadminton group in JESH on saturday 8pm. Look for a guy called BT. They do welcome good kakis. You would normally see players with Yellow and Red YY t-shirts around. I will be there this saturday.

    There are also groups in PUB club and SPower club (next to each other) who play on wednesdays. These are slightly advance groups.

    All game fees are around 6sgd. Enjoy and see you around.:D
