Yay im in the last picture of lin dan meetin the crowd...lol excellent stuff:p

Lin Dan injury looked a bit nasty wen it happened , after he looked to be moving fairly well however, although it seemed he was wathcing his landings on that leg ie landing mainly on the other one. U coud see he wanted to finish the match quickly after the injury aswell

Robertson & Emms beaten in final

Emms and Robertson were 14-13 up but lost the second game
England's Nathan Robertson and Gail Emms wasted five match points as they lost their All England title to old rivals Zhang Jun and Gao Ling.
The Chinese duo, who pipped the English pair to Olympic gold in 2004, won a tense 99-minute clash 12-15 17-14 15-1.

Robertson and Emms looked to have taken the contest at 14-13 in game two but failed to close it down.

The disappointment clearly affected the home favourites and the Chinese pair easily claimed the decider.

"It's hugely disappointing and there's not really much you can say to make you feel better after a match like that," said Robertson.

"We played an almost perfect tournament apart from five points.

"We thought we should have won. We played two very good games but if you have five match points you ought to win. We didn't take our chances and it's hugely disappointing.

"The Chinese didn't do anything wrong at match point down but perhaps we were a bit tense. We didn't have the luck we needed.

"We didn't play at the level of the two previous days. But you have to give Zhang and Gao credit for not giving us the second game and sticking at it out there."

In the men's doubles, Jens Eriksen and Martin Lundgaard Hansen of Denmark beat Malaysia's Choong Tan Fook and Lee Wan Wah 15-6 14-17 15-2.

And second seed Xie Xingfang caused an upset in the women's singles final with a 11-6 4-11 11-2 victory over Zhang Ning.

In the men's final, Chinese top seed Lin Dan defeated Lee Hyun Il 15-7 15-7.

Yes indeed, it has certainly made the sport more popular - now to increase a price money and sponsors...
