Hi, Lex, I have both the Wilson N-Code N2 and N6. I bought them in HKG, where the models available were N2 (a cross between purple and maroon colour, with white band on the frame), N4 and N6 (light brown with white band on the frame). I noted on the web that the N-code is available in other regions as N1, N3 and N5.

The N2 and N6 I bought donot come with white bag, but a unique N-code Black Bag with internal silver foil-like linning so when you put the racket in you have to zip the inner linning first and then the bag itself.

I dont have them with me now but I recalled from the spec that N2 is rated as Extra Flex, N4 being Medium Flex and N2 is Flex.

I used the N6 strung with Yonex B65-Ti 22 lbs a few times and all I could say is it feels "strange" compare to all my other rackets, probably because they are the only rackets I have that are not rated stiff. One thing that I felt strongly is the handle seems a little "square" (I wrapped over the original grip with the same overgrip I used on my other rackets) in my palm. I seem to able to feel the angles and that feeling is there throughout the play which bother me a little.

Nothing noteworthy on the clear and smash, but the feel on drop shot is good.

Interesting point is I gave the N2 to my wife who is a high-beginner. I thought the Extra Flex rating would help her to generate the extra distance in overhead clearing (as she is still weak on the technic side). However she felt the opposite after using it (she used to play with a fake Nanospeed which is very stiff). She is still using the N2 because she loves the colour of the rackte, which I mus agree is very attractive.

I have to say that I do not used the N6 often to give a fair review. But thought I would share this with you since you are interested in the N-code series.

thx linus for the thorough review of the wilsons .

but out of 3 shops , i went to , NONE! of them sells wilson .. and all of them gave the same reason ..

they claim that wilson distributor are not being fair to them. wilson distributors gave annual warehouse clearance and the rackets are often going for 70% discount. and they dont care about the resellers.
so, the advice that resellers gave me is to NOT buy wilson rackets cos the price of the racket is worth nothing after a few month when the clearance comes.

and for wilson to be able to sell this cheap , the resellers say the materials used for the racket is also cheap.they (resellers) of course discourage me to buy wilson goods.

maybe i'll just go and buy the bag , i am sure the resellers dont have anything to complain about that .
hmm , i wonder why wilson distributors is so hated amongst resellers. geez.

oh oh , and one more thing , they say cosmetics on wilson racket's are just a gimmick , and the cone cap design and frame designs do not improve gameplay , and 100% just cosmetic. hmm ..

i guess after you heard those reseller say wilson was not fair to them

you need some filter on their negative comment toward the company...

while they say stay away from wilson's racket b/c they are cheap, isn't yonex going to be more expensive? :)

i have n90, bag is nice, racket... i still have yet find a time to test it out yet b/c ti10 and n90 came the same time and i have still having lots of frun with ti10 :D

i should be geting it to test later tonight... hopefully

N2 is the stiffest racket and n6 the most flexible in that lineup so N2 is particularly for attacking playing style. N6 should be racket for a less skillful player with its less power potential but larger controlability when hitting shuttlecock.

    Lex1437,

I have reservation with the comment from the seller you met.

I think Wilson is trying hard to be innovative with its badminton rackets (same as they do with their tennis rackets, which I understand from my tennis playing friends is quite succesful). They do know somethign about design nad material used for racket sports. Their volcanic power cone for example is a break away from the normal one we used to see - so we do need to give them some credits. Whether the players find it actually generate more flex to the shaft is a seperate debate - but at least they tried compared to many other brands just producing simply clone copies of Yonex models without much added values.

So take their comment with a (large) pinch of salt and best try out one yourself if you have that opportunity.

I donot know much about the racket distribution in Malaysia, but in HKG, there is one shop in Causeway Bay which specialise in all kind of Wilson rackets. If you happened to go to HKG, let me know, I can give you a more detail direction.

In Singapore, the major sport retail chain stores do carry Wilson brands, although so far I see the are the V-series and the older version of N-series.

Need to add a statement here that personally I have other preferred brands than Wilson.

I have bought an N2 in KLCC (if i remember correctly a big sports shop on 4th floor) early december and took it back to Italy as this model is still not imported in Europe (only N1, N3 and N5).
I used to play a Carlton F3 before.
I like the N2 very much, it is stiff and its lightweight construction combined with the more weight in the head gives me much better speed. I found the racket also increase my accuracy in drop and net shots.
the handle is quite square and very thin compared to my other rackets - had to use 2 overgrips.
I can't remember what I paid for the racket but compared to european prices it was about 3 times cheaper.
I got a black thermo cover as described before - looks really cool and scares my adversaries already before the game
    ...
had some problems in finding somebody to string it though - the shop where i bought the racket did not know how to string it!
