Hello my fellow badminton-addicts, just wanted to use the chance to introduce myself to you. I guess i will follow the usual pattern... Age: 24 Residence: Leipzig, Germany (~500,000) Job: Student at university Badminton: hopelessly addicted, I play at least 3 times a week at the sports-institute of this uni. Best thing is: it's free for all students I guess that's the main points you want to know, if you have any questions, feel free to ask... Doc.
Well, the university offers some kind of "meet-up" where everyone from the university can come and play badminton, regardless of his/her level of play. I'd say I'm only an average player but would consider me one of the Top 10 players there. Which is mostly because the average participants don't have any technique/skill and just play to and fro... The really skilled players don't come there, they usually are members in a badminton club and play league games etc. I'm not in a club because i just want to play for fun. Besides i don't have time to take part in league matches every weekend (learning for tests, etc...).
Herzlich willkommen ins Badminton-Forum! (Only four words, and yet probably made a grammatical error... My german is schrecklich these days! )
Thank you, too And your german is not too schrecklich, only one of four words is wrong Should be "im" instead of "ins". But at least your german is better than my swedish, i barely know more than Astrid Lindgren and smorebrod (dunno how to get my pc to put these "funny" os in )...
Well, I have to agree about your swedish -- that word is Danish, you see. (And it's spelled wrong -- but you got Astrid Lindgren right though.) Luckily, for both of us, this is an English-speaking forum!
