the past weekend Howard and Tony came up to the bay area and gave a exhibition match to the locals. the hall was packed with 300+ ppl. the exhibition started with a couple of speeches by a local umpire about the 21pts system, and a Yonex rep talking about Yonex, i think. the sound was barely audible throughout so i have no idea what they talked about. later on, there was a mixed match with Tony / Howard partnering with two local juniors, Lauren Todt and Daphne Ng. the first game was played in 15pt, the second game in 21pt. and then there are Q&A sessions for Howard and Tony. Howard also talked about his experience winning the WC. another exhibition match was played with locals Ben Lee and Daniel Gouw. lastly, they had raffles draws and then Tony / Howard played against two really young juniors. they lost so they had to give up their world championships to these two little kids... here are some pics i took. enjoy!
was that a legal short serve by the girl in white shorts? and if I was lucky enough to have a game, and win against the "new world champs" would I be able to get their shirts?
It looks like you both got a very good view of the action. How about Bach's massive muscles I've never seen muscles so big, but his height doesn't seem to be too tall either. Thanks for posting Oh, I wish I lived in California to get all these opportunities....
thats very cool, great pictures and thanks for posting them. Must have been fun to play with and against the world champions...if only they would have something like that here.
