Chinese Players on CCTV5, Feb 2nd 2006 According to Cai Yun, Bao Chunlai, Sina.com and Baidu forums, the Chinese badminton players will dance/perform in order to celebrate Chinese New Year. Date: February 2nd Channel: CCTV5 19.30 - 21.00 (China Time) Sina's link: http://sports.sina.com.cn/o/2006-01-18/10512000308.shtml
Hahahaha I think it'd be amusing/great to see them 'dance'. If anyone is going to be taping it could they possibly post it? I don't live in China or get that channel =(. Actually nothing remotely connected to badminton is broadcast here and pretty much anything about badminton I find out from this site..
Hee, I read that yesterday too, couldn't believe at first. maybe they will bring their rackets on stage too.
Expanding on this topic, I can purchase CCTV4 from my tv program. Does that channel ever show badminton? What other channels based in Asia broadcast badminton?
Sometimes CCTV 4 mat have a program on something about badminton, sometimes a condensed version of a match a few months later. Sometimes it has interview. Of course you would have to go to their website to find out the exact schedule.
Is CCTV5 strictly Chinese/Asian? Doubt the parents would be pleased to buy a channel just for me to see some badminton players dance .
cctv5 download Multi-lingual, several commercials display english characters. Commentary is over-dubbed, if you can filter out, you will hear english in the background. Scores of matches are in english since the feed is generally espnstar, espn, or somesuch. Buying not required. Web-streaming available via Sopcast . The latest version is available as a zip file. Then, either, run via cmd line {Start, Run, then "sop://sop.sopcast.org:3919/official/cctv5" in Windows} works best with Media Player 10.x or alternately from the main Sopcast page.
Xie Xing Fang looks stunning (to me) Wonder if she'll make the transition later on, following Gong Rui Na's path to show business? -dave
Anyone have this show for download? Looks a lot of fun to watch the china team perform on TV. Thanks.
