there isn't a such thing as "best strings". it is down to what you want the strings for, if you want durability go for a string like bg65, if you want power go for b66 etc.

what do you search in a string. afaik:

The Bg 80/85 is great feel but "bad" durability
the BG65 is a lil bit of all
and teh ashaway is very durable, but doens't hodl tension well, afaik

the 'tension-hold' of teh bg65 is poor. but it takes "a long" time to break it.

i cut mine out after a month because there was no sign of wear or anything and the tension had dropped form 24lbs to about 18lbs . i now use bg85

I think a lot of BCers like BG-80 and I just got 10 of them and eager to try them out. I started the forum about what's the best racquet and string combination. http://www.badmintoncentral.com/foru...ht=combination. Check it out and find out for yourself.

Hmmm, as soon as my Ashaway Micro Power XL breaks, what should i get in the BG series? BG 65? 70?80? or 85??

Edit: It is for a MagaN ATB Victor racquet. I think its for rallies and long shots. Want me to show a picture?

    THanks.

i would go for bg80 because it is good for everthing and is more durable than bg85

I've used quite a few Yonex strings and honestly think that BG80 is the best. It lasts quite long (I need restringing approx. once a month, and I do play 6 - 10 hours per week with two identical racquets) and doesn't lose the tension as much as the other strings. During 1 - 3 sessions the BG80 loses a bit of the tension, but after that it stays the same until it brakes. Power is excellent as is the accuracy.

I've tried Micropower a few times too, but got no "kicks" out of it. IMO it loses tension quicker & brakes quicker and doesn't carry the same punch. Maybe a bit better in drops & cuts than BG80, but not much.
