Hi,

I've just ordered a new racket, and the seller has just told me that its an 'SP' version?

Are 'SP' Yonex rackets any different in quality and performance than say a 'UK' serial racket?

The serial of the racket is..5344986 181153SP

    Regards,

    Tim

Of course there is a difference. From the look of the serial numbers you provided, your racket is a fake SP racket. Fake racket is different in quality and performance than all genuine rackets.

I guess the counterfeiters are clever... they make fakes using SP code... and when you realise that the fake is not as good as the original, the counterfeiter can make the excuse that 'SP models are different and inferior.'

Agree with Bluejeff, the serial looks fake to me.

If the real SP racket, according to Yonex, the quality of all the rackets should be the same. Of course, there're believers to the statement, also non-believers. There were tons of discussion and debates on this issue.

However, as bluejeff identified ur racket is a fake. Then, the SP lost its original Yonex identification (distribution code), but just a bs "excuse" from the fake manufactures. Usually, the fakes are low in quality, as the fake manufactures only try to fool buyers from the "look", and try to cut down cost on the quality control. :(
