    ...in the semi final of the EC to Jie YAO (chinese playing for the netherlands).
    Does anybody know how more about this? Did she injure herself during the match?
    She has won the first two sets 7/0 - 7/2 and then lost 0/7 - 3/7 - 1/7.

    maybe the chinese player (netherland) was just toying with her.

    Isn't it ironic that the finals of the women's singles of the european c'ships is between two ethnic non-europeans?

    Not really considering how mobile people are nowadays. So long as they have citizenship, it shouldn't be an issue.


    You can find nonethnic people working in Asia quite commonly as coaches in tennis, rowing, football.

    I think it is good for European badminton that a non-Dane won at least one gold... I think Camilla was quite confident that she would bring this one home, and she and the Danes may be disappointed, but it will no doubt boost the sport further in the Netherlands.
