I´m quite possible way too late for this, but what the heck:

don't train yourself dead-tired in the week before, btu don't stop completly. make sur eyou ahve enegry left for the tournament.east enough, sleep well. and at that morning take a good filling breakfast. about an hour before a match start moving around relaxed. hitting birds with a partner. half an hour/ quarter before match-time get more intense, do some drills. still not breaking a real sweat! eat some, drink some, more moving. real sweat shodul set in 5 min prior to the match.

with a well-fed stomach (food&drinks) a warm body and all your strokes peprared what could go wrong?

just listen to your body....be warm, yet not tired. be well-fed though not overfull...
and carry enought hings wiht you to the tourney.
I liek to take wiht me lots of extra socks, boxers and shirts. feels fresh after a match. take to towels: big for showering, medium for whiping of sweat during a match.
take a smal kitchen-towel, a synthetic one that can acrry lost of moisture. wet it and place beside court...when teh soles of your shoes get dirty-slippery stand on it. gives grip.

    bring enough food/drink/money

if your tournament is today. there really isn't much you can do training-wise, you probably figured that out.

however, you can prepare mentally by relaxing and don't get too excited about it. treat it as another game and play your hardest.

you can also make sure you bring the appropriate equipments. make sure you have enough water / energy drink / energy bars. make sure you bring extra t-shirts, towels, spare shorts, spare socks, bring something comfortable to sit on if it is going to be a full day tournament, bring a book to read or bring some music to keep yourself entertained.

if you are going with a whole team, bring a camera!

and most important of all, enjoy yourself. badminton is supposed to be fun!

    Hi,
Stay relaxed but focus. Enjoy it just like yr normal game. Bring some bananas to refuel yr energy.Play to yr strength n observe yr opponent's weakness n capitalise on that. U r going to win.......:D :D :D
