i really doubt there's enough demand for rsl racquets to make it profitable for anyone to copy them and sell as fakes.
Mostly true, and mostly higher end yonex. To make a fake racket, the "key" is the paint. Whether a less-known brand, or a lower end model, will take pretty much the same effort/cost as paint as a yonex higher end model. And the later will give more chance and more profit in selling...
i think counterfeiters are getting smarter , cos many people can identity fake rackets from yonex , they rather focus on the smaller markets , which also focuses on other popular brands.
I've seen a fake RSL 3200. The paintjob of the shaft is very different from the original. It's more brown than black.
If you strictly talking about active forum members, maybe many, yes. All these thnx to ppl who contributed their valueable knowledge and experiences. However, if you talking about the entire badminton community, sad but true, the ppl who knows about how to identify fakes is still to be considered as a very small %. This has nothing to do with how many yr they played, how many rackets they went through, or even their playing skills. Equipment identifcation is totally different than the playing/skill lvls or expereince.
