i started to play badminton since i was 9 or something(im 15 now), and i stopped to play since couple years ago, so i havent play for about 3 years~ but im gonna join the badminton team if i made the try-out. but i do not have a good badminton racket now... so im worrying about that... so can you guys PLEASE tell me some good rackets series? im probably at a medium level? so please help me out, this is very urgent!please! and i want either Wilson's or Yonex~ for a medium level player. thanks!
Without specify your style (preference), physical condition and preferred price range, it's very hard to give any useful suggestions. Actually, the best thing I think you should do, is to demo as many rackets as possible, by borrowing from fellow players, or renting from local stores. Once you find a racket with good performance for you, and within your price range, that's the one.
Mp 28! I play with the MP 28. Really great racket. Perfect choice for you if you are on medium level and do not cost so much about 100$ so thats you choice.
Carlton Airblade/Powerblade Tour. Great racquet at an amazing price (under $100). Used by Nathan Robertson current World #1 in Mixed Doubles. But.....if you get one you'll never be able to blame your racquet again
$50-70 US is abt... 400-550 HK? soz... i usually do my racket shopping in hk. but that that price range u have a few options: 1/ get a 2nd hand high-end yonex racket (Ti-10, mp-88, maybe AT300?) 2/ get a carlton airblade (soz, don't hv much exp there) 3/ get a mid-range yonex racket (mp28, mp30, or cab30ms?) 4/ get a mid-high range sotx racket (a woven 7 should be just in reach!). I still think their mid to mid-high range is really good value... have a woven 11 @ home, still my no2 racket! 5/ wilson ncode series. Easily in the price range... but I have a wilson npro myself and it was a bit of an impulse buy... too stiff and unforgiving. dunno about the other ncodes.
Check this one: http://www.badminton.net/cart/produ...id=71&osCsid=92b4b517c91c0cb4bb919dad9075fe81 Quite a good price for a very nice all around racket.
Mp30 including strings is $460HK. If you wanna check racket prices, i recommend this guy - http://www.e78.com.hk/yy/clothes.htm. Never mind the spelling errors, his rackets are authentic. Just got a ns8000SP from him, and hvin no probs with it.
if you dun might non yonex stuff, victor makes very good rackets. i have been using a zhaojianhua 3000, its a fantasti racket at about US$50-60
may be start with a yonex carbonex 20 in lavender color @ 21lbs first. (don't buy the new cab 20! the performance is totally different form the old one!). the shaft of a cab 20 original is a little bit stiffer than a medium flex yonex racket. i would say between a mp88 and a mp99 but much towards a mp88! just find out how u feel about that racket whether it's too flex or too stiff before your next purchase.
Everyone (I know) loves the Iso63 MF. Found at all sportchecks, light, fast, reliable, powerful enough, overall a good racquet. Plus its not as expensive as some suggestions above, only 50 or so dollars.
I understand racket selection is more up to personal preference. However, for HK$460 (US$65 around), I still think the gosen arment 2400 http://www.badminton.net/cart/produ...id=71&osCsid=898827849cf13556976fa01a46f255ab is a much better bang for the $$$. Also, no need to deal with oversea seller could be a bonus.
yea, dealing overseas is a bad bad idea... could b a lot of $$$ going to waste. Sorry i don't know much about the arment series, i play mainly yonex and sotx. but yea, if you've tried it and it's a good all round, go 4 it
