sounds like a pretty good deal to me for the price. i wouldn't listen to the advice about the level of play. i have two suggestions: make sure that extra stiff flex is not too much for you see if you can use this racket somehow before you buy it.

As for the first, i am not so sure. I played a lot back in high school time, but that was like thousands years ago. Neither did i play much in btw. But i am trying to pick it up and not feeling too bad. I am pretty fine with my wrist and power, but stifffff...donno. Sencondly, wvu has a great rec center and lots of indian and chinese guys play there, but i am not so sure they use that racquet or not, ne/ed check. really appreciate it if you have any further suggestion for me. A friend of mine has this racquet, and I have used it once or twice. I'd say this racquet is good for high-level beginners, or intermediate players, so it should suit your needs. My friend is very pleased with it, and she enjoys using it quite a bit. Now saying that, I dont pretend to be some kind of racquet professional or contesseur (is that how you spell that?) or anything, so if you can find an advanced player who is familiar with the racquet, by all means, take their oponion over mine.
One thing I don't like Carlton rackets (at least, most of the models being sold in US) is the grip size. Somehow, it feels a bit too bulky for my hand (of course you can change grips or sand it down). Also, the cone is harder to handle (cone shape rather than flat faces), it you like to hold it way up during net rallies.

For me, the larger handles on Carlton rackets helps me out, as I also own a Carlton racket and have fairly big hands (in fact, a few of my friends with bigger hands have commented on how comfortable my racket feels in their hands). However, one thing that I dont like about the specific racket you are considering is the handle portion of it. It has a raised edge around the handle, as it's supposed to fit the girp of your hand. However, the problem with this is that you no longer have the freedom to shift your hand up and down the handle like you normally would on a racket (at least, without holding it very uncomfortably). I dont know if the material that is giving this raised edge can be removed or not, but it is something you should try before you purchase it.

honestly i have never seen that racket before, how does it compare to equivelent priced yonx rackets? i would guess that you get more for your money.
