    Here you are. ;)

Li Yongbo, the general coach of China national team, said that 21 scoring system has been widely supported in IBF. The only issue of the approval of the new scoring system is time. He said China national team took active attitude to it and being prepared for new training in order to adjust to the new score system.

...(Simple Introduction to 21 score system)

From Li's viewpoint, the most outstanding change is the shorten of game duration. Thus the injury chance should be reduced which will protect players' health. Besides, in techniques, the preparation before a game becomes more important. And the begining part of a game effects more. Also attack is more important. Receiving a serve should be more qualified than before because it can get score directly.

Thank you very much qqsu_asure for your translation.

I'm glad to note that the new 21-point scoring system "has been widely supported" in the IBF. Also that Li now acknowledges that the shorten time taken will benefit the players' health in the form of reduced injuries. So Li is now preparing his players to adapt to the more attack-oriented system.

We'll soon find out how the various teams will fare during the Thomas Cup and Uber Cup preliminaries.

I'm curious to know how many members are in the IBF. If there's only 3 people in there, I'd qualify 2 out of 3 IBF members as widely too :p

Made for Tv vs play it any way you want

I thought abt that too and checked IBF website for the staffing and management set-up.

Checked all the postings in badders.

Seems like a lot of opposition are from purists and pro players or league players who are concerned they cant get a good work-out.

Maybe leisure players can score the game any way they want, the new

format may be more for televised matches or maybe IBF tours for the sake

    of creating a show.

Same sort of problem of pure musicians who refuse to play pop music

churned out for the top 20.

There were comments like selling out the sport

    According to the IBF website:

There are 26 IBF Council members, 13 of whom made up the Executive Board, with representatives from South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Denmark, Australia, Indonesia, Sweden, Nigeria, USA, Peru, Hong Kong, India and Sri Lanka. Dep President, Punch Gunalan (Malaysia) and Rudy Hartono (Indonesia) are the better known names because they were once international star men singles badminton players.

The other 13 members hail from the Philippines, South Korea, Greece, Kenya, Mauritius, Bulgaria, Germany, Austria, China, Scotland, Canada, Japan and Singapore. Notable among these council members are Bang Soo Hyun (Korea) and Li Lingwei (China), who have made an impact in world women singles as champions.

So the support comes from a wide and varied representation. ;)

AND NOT TO FORGET THE NUMBER OF MEETINGS AND CONVENTIONS HELD

PROBABLY MORE EXHAUSTING THAN PLAYING AS REPS WILL KNOW.

aLLEGATIONS PROBABLY TRUE BUT PERHAPS FROM WRONG ANGLE,AND NOT SUPPORTED BY FACTS, MORE LIKE RHETORIC OF THE VILLAGE POLITICIAN.
