Maybe its my super-hard slices are wearing it down

If that's the case, then I believe through shipping/extreme weather change, the string may have been altered.

Or like you said, you just sliced super hard.

It's hard to discern, relative and splitting hairs, but I believe BG66 to be more powerful.

If you want a durable, power string, NBG95 is a good choice. Just don't expect too much finesse and control.

I find BG66 SHARP maybe little more powerful, never used BG66.. BG66 sharp isn't very durable... (but on the other hand maybe NBG95 doesn't seem to have a long lifespan for me neither)..

great strings when freshly strung at 27.5 lbs... now lost tension to about 25lbs and lost itz good feel. very powerful when i first use it.. love the feel of it hitting the shuttle. i'd say quite durable (i snapped bg 66 in err... 3 or 4 days). nbg95 has been lasting me about 3 weeks now without snapping, but the nice feel i had when it was strung at 27.5 lbs is long gone. pre-stretching string is recommended (something i will do next time). nbg95 are a lot more grippy than the bg66. not sure compared to bg 80 as i haven't used bg80 in years... hahaha...

beerbelly says: bg66 a little more powerful

I should have been more clear, I said it was splitting hairs, i.e. a bit more powerful.

So yeah, it's a bit more powerful, overall.

NBG95 is my most fave strings.I used it on 4 of my rackets.I love its sounds(like a glass),reasonable durability n great repulsion.

Is this common with the NBG95?? Also it seem to barely keep it togeteher, the outer layer just breaking all over the stringbed..

I posted a picture of part of the stringbed to illustrate..

Is this fluke? Could it be a bad batch?

    /Twobeer

Hmm that happened to me the first time I used NBG, from a 10m packet. However this never happened when stringing my rackets with NBG from a 200m reel. I think it may just be a bad batch. Actually I found that BG80 was much worse in terms of the outer layer falling apart. in fact for me NBG has been one of the most durable string I have used even surpassing BG65Ti, which I found prone to breakage from mishits. I don't find NBG to feel dead at all, although maybe I'm just used to it by now

I played with it for a little bit tonight. Felt pretty good on power shots. Clears, Smashes, Drives. I didn't feel like I got enough grip for spin shots though.

If durability is good I guess this is a worthwhile string. Colour is a bit ugly but I could live with it.
