How does one go about maintaining a clean towel grip? I know they accumilate bacteria very quickly, because they absorb lots of sweat, but what are the best ways to clean them, and how often should they be cleaned?
I try to keep it dry. When I am back home after every badminton session , I will take my racquet out of the bag and let the towel grip dry for a few hours before storing it in the bag again. Hey you could even use a hairdryer to help you. I believe if the towel is really dry, it hinders bacteria growth. My towel grip could last at least 10 badminton session of 3 hours each. No other fancy techniques to clean the towel. It is one of the cheaper grips around (costs around USD2.00) so if it lasts me 30 hours I think it's good enough.
I use slip-on towel grips, i find them much more hygenic cause after playing i can just dump it in the wash and slip it on the racket again.
Clean? Just change them when they are dirty. They cost like alittle less than 1USD pr grip if you buy a roll.
