Well, you can give Wilson n90 a try. -Around $58 -90g (3u) -Lovely design (Sexy) -Well balanced -Doesn't feel sluggish -Stiff and very very little vibration - gives accurate and generates maximum power for smashes -Very nice feel to it for my overall game play 50% Singles 50% Doubles -Effortless when it comes to lifting of birdy, countering smashes and drives -Feels as if I'm using the same strength for more power when I'm using that racket compared to my Cab 8 Tour SP and MP22.
I used to use woven 6, just prior to switch to cab30ms. The racket is even balanced, if not head light. The shaft is listed as "stiff", but i would say it's between mid flex and mid stiff. This racket is great for defence and net play, but require a bit more effort (i.e. faster swing) if u play back court game, such as baseline clear / smash.
I'd recommend the Kason Lepton F1 or F2 for you. The light weight racket will definitely complement your skills and improve your quickness on the defensive side. The paint job on the racket is very nice too. Plus it's only $60.00, well within your budget.
I can only find a link through Google to Wilson Taiwan for the n90. Apparently, it's not available in the USA, and probably not in the UK.
You can give SOTX Woven 8/8A a try - the price difference between that and Woven 6 is marginal. I am not sure the market price in US - but where I bought the Woven 8A (in Hong Kong) it was under USD80. The reason I said Woven 8/8A is it is very versatile, you can use it for single or double without much problem - since you intend to have only one racket this would be ideal. There are quite a number of write-up in the forum about Woven 8/8A including in the equipment review section, you can search them and have a read.
I personally recommend mp 23 or isometric 75 or 53 pretty sure you can get these for under 50 american
Agree. The Lepton series of rackets are first-rate for beginners to intermediate players. The SOTX Woven 8 is a great racket too but is too stiff for some. Best to test it first.
I did not know the prices in US. Here, both racket cost ± US$ 115. Try the american-brand-made-in-China Wilson N4.
The Isometric 75 MF is a bad racquet. It has neither power or control. Mine broke internally in two places after a short time, with the original (and awful) factory string. Maybe Yonex has improved the racquet, but I doubt it. (I had the yellow version.) A better racquet for that price is the Wilson Hyper Hammer 85. It's not an ideal racquet, but it's a lot better than the ISO 75.
Carlton Airblade Lite - 3U, slightly headlight balance, regular 665mm length, medium-stiff i think that might be a almost perfect fit. other alternatives may be the Powerblade Lite you can also find similar offerings from Karakal, such as the SL-80.

Personally, I borrowed this racket once from a friend, and played a 3 hr session with it. I say this is a great all around racket (3u, balanced, mid stiff), packed with decent power and control. As ppl know, i am not an ISO fan, but if i have to switch to iso, this one will be 1 of my top choices, especially if the price is still $65. Quite a few elite players in local area selected this racket, including 1 national junior player.
