Turn out the Korea team also didn't had confidence enough they can get past the qualification round with their average singles player and their second doubles.

Thats why they ask Ra Kyung Min back to play for the team.:)

Is Ra Kyung Min going to be playing in the Uber Cup Finals as well, or just the qualifying? I would assume she's playing for the whole tournament...

Vermont? You missed your best chance. She won the Canadian Open in November just across the border from you!
Kim is in Canada now and not training. Hop on a train if you want to see him. There is about as much chance of him playing on the Korean TC squad as there is of the tournament being broadcast in Canada.

This article says that while she is reluctant to get in the way of the younger players having an opportunity to play, in the end she found the call to represent her country difficult not to heed. She won both matches she played in the qualifiers: one with Hwang Yoo-mi and the other with Ha Jung-eun.

Incidentally, Hwang, and the other player recently recovered from a major injury, Jun Jae-youn, went 4-0 and 3-0 respectively in their matches in the qualifying stages.
