I own an iso300, and like it..but today, i borrowed my friend's iso300 tour...and the tour has a newer iso design...mine is more squarish..the tour is rounder at the top. I like this design as i seem to be able to hit the sweet spot more and therefore generate much more poewrful smashes(and i mean much much much more powerful). So with this in mind, i am looking for an inexpensive iso racquet that would provide power and control. I am considering the Ti5 and was wondering if it would be a worthwhile purchase. I can get it for 110. But i can also get the iso800 for 110 and iso600 for 100....but i dunno if the iso600/800 is the "new" iso frame design. Any help would be appreciated. thnx
thats correct! i'm considering karakal...read some reviews on the Ti5 and it doesnt sound that impressive...
its from rac doc. racquetdoctor@home.com located yonge and shepphard...south of younge just past the 401 bridge...once at the bridge, there will be a set of lights right after it...turn left and keep heading east...the street is Lord Seaton...his house number is 107 i THINKKKK
theres one in calif?????? i thought there is only one! i dunno if thats the right email haha. hope it is ^_^ which racquet are u interested in buying? I am going there TMW at 6:30, and he will be there...so u might as well come along
I'm busy tomorrow, thinkin of the weekend or the week after. Since my slim-10 may not last long (as everybody says, but its holding out so far) even though I play at my best w/ it. I'm looking for something that plays the same. I have no racquet in mind in particular yet.
something that plays similar to the Slim10? haha i wish there was! I dont think theres anything else like it "[
HOW ABOUT ISO900 SP?! worth considering? it costs 150!!!! but its long....is long good? i remember it being good for smashing, but either than that, it didnt do much.
The Ti-5 is very similar to the Ti-3. Sorry, i haven't tried the Iso 300 or the Iso 300 Tour. But you may want to go easy on the rackets. Try to get used to 1 even if you have a bad day with it or you might be like me, ending up getting TOO many rackets and finding that you only use about 2 of them. I believe that its partially a psychological thing that you find some rackets are better than others. On other days you might think vise versa
haha i find that true, i went thro tons of racquets but i returned them! heh heh. anyway if Ti5 is similar to Ti3, it must be real garbage
I've seen several players in our national league use the Ti-5, so obviously it's not a bad racquet. I've tried it for a set and it felt great. Seriously Shaun, I think you should spend less time thinking about getting new raquets and more on improving technique. You mentioned in another thread that you've only been playing since September last year. You've already been through all these racquets of which several are truly excellent... but still you're not happy. I don't mean to sound rude, but it's not really the racquet that's the real problem, is it? (And no, it's probably not the grip either ) You're never going to find a racquet that does the playing for you, you know!
