Hi What is the stringtension on a new Carlton powerblade elite? And why are the string broken after one houer, i have seen two new rackets broken in a week.:crying: (It is a very good racket with great feeling)
The stock strings don't seem to be very durable. Mine (Powerblade Tour) broke after a couple days. The racquet itself is great though.
I think the factory carlton string might have changed it used to be Carlton High Tension String on their top end racquets which was quite thick (0.85mm). I just had an Elite in for a restring, and it had Carlton Force 65 Ti or something like that in it, it looked about 0.70mm like BG65 or BG65Ti.
I had Carlton Force 65 too, it seems to be a bad string. now i have restring it whith Yonex BG65 23 ibs, i hope it´s better.
i have a carlton powerblade carbon tt . its factory string was terrible! it was around 26lbs and lasted 2 games beofre snapping. poor string if you ask me!
I have resting my Carlton powerblade elite with yonex BG65 (23 ibs) and played with it for a few times and i have completley lost the feling i hade when the racket was new. What string and which tension shall i have to get the same feling again?
If you are a hard hitter and already played quite a few sessions after re-strung, then, it might because the tension lost. If that's the case, consider to re-string it with 1-2 more lb for tension next time.
It was bad feling direct after re-strung. I don´t know what tension it hade when it was new. Maybe i shall try another string whith greater felling any proposal.
