wetting strings

    hi. does wetting your strings have any positive/negative effects? wat if ur strings are rained on? (not that i would leave my armortec 800de outside :p)
    btw im using bg85 strung at 26pounds on my 800de

    My personal experience is extreme temp has more effect on string and racquet than water. Example, extreme high summer temp (>100F) is bad for the string (string lose tension and brreak easily) while extreme cold (<30F) is bad for the frame (frame become brittle and chip easily) Water is bad on real gut string only (correct me if I am wrong beacuse I never get a racquet wet except went I drool all over a new NS8K before I got mine...)

    i think it helps with the durability, kinda like dry cloth, wet cloth?

    I use my sweaty fingers to straighten my strings after every rally, no noticeable effects found to-date.
