hey, I recently purchased a 2 nanospeed 8000's....i was wondering what the strings and tension i should use should be........i normally use a bg-68ti strung 22-20.......i am an ok player i guess.....i play @ least 3-4 times a week...im more of a power player.....just wondering what all of your thoughts were...thanks
Go with whatever you normally feel comfortable with. If the combo u metioned serves u well, stick with it. Otherwise, consider a change, either for the string, or the tension or both. Such "ideal result" might require a few "combo" tests to achieve.
I have found that for 'stiffer' rackets lower tensions are much better ... You really cant wrong with 20/22..
May be one with BG-68ti and BG-80 on the other to see if you like the rougher string. I just think this is a perfect time to experiememt. Just a suggestion that BG-85 and BG-66 will break easily since you like to smash.
Like what most people said: if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I myself use BG85 at 26 to 28 lbs tension. Managed to last about 6+ months smashing on (with the Vectran unravelling before my eyes ).
I have a Nanospeed 8000 as well and the string (BG65) is finally fraying. What do you guys mean by 20/22lbs? As in the vertical strings are strung at 20lbs and the horizontal at 22lbs or the other way around. How does that differ from say 22lbs all around? Thanks. Josh
