Hi everyone! I just joined today. I'm from Westfield, New Jersey and have never played badminton on an actual team, but I've been playing it with my friends since I was 8 years old and in gym class in high school. My high school and college didn't have badminton teams or clubs, but I always tried to play it when I had the time in the summer. I'm in no way World Championship or Oylmpic material, but I can dream! I thought I was one of the few people around who liked badminton, and I didn't know there were clubs for it and even tournaments. I look forward to chatting with all of you on badminton! Vrinda

Check www.friendlybadminton.com as they have gyms in Queens and Hoboken, NJ. Also check www.queensbadminton.com (part of NYCB), as they also have a gym in Queens on Sat.
Hi, I usually wake up at 5AM (do my morning rituals...) and report to school at 8AM. I live in Queens but the school that I am teaching is in Manhattan. While heating my breakfast I still have time to check my email. Hope you have a good day. I am sooo excited to learn to play badminton but considering the nippy weather, well, I need to check it out.
Badminton can double as an indoor and outdoor sport, so all the better that there is cold weather. You can still play it! Vrinda
