I'm just curious what your opinions are between these two racquets especially the 4U version. Would it be easy for a player to migrate from one to the other or vice versa? What are the pro's and con's? Thanks.

the mp88 is not as stiff as the armortec 800 and the 88 is lighter too.If u want to have power i suggest the armortec 800 and if u want consistancy then ur better off with the mp88.

    I've never tried a 4U MP88, only 3Us. The 4U AT800-DE is very consistent. I feel more consistent than a 3U MP88.

Nope, 4U is the weight. The handles on all my rackets were G4 with an additional overgrip of medium thickness wrapped a certain way. So the thickness of the handle on all my rackets were the same.

The AT800-DE is consistent as in I have confidence in the racket, in all aspects. There are no weaknesses. Some rackets are great for attacking but lack defense and vice versa. For instance, to me the NS7000 is a great racket for defense, net play and drives but it lacks smashing power.

What aspects of MP-88 did you find lacking? I have a 3U MP-88 and I like the power it generates and its feel, its very crisp. But I feel the defense and net game is probably not what I would like it to be. At the net if I choke up on the grip, it helps a lot with this racket. Which of the two feels more head heavy between the two of them? As the AT-800DE is a stiffer racket, do you find any difference in the power it generates for you(I know my results can be totally different) . I think the flexible shaft in the MP-88 suits me better. If I were to try another racket, I was wondering if I should get a 4U MP-88 or a 4U AT800DE. Generally speaking about these head heavy rackets, are 4U rackets easier to lug around on quick reaction shots than their 3U versions? Thanks a lot for your input!!!

    i mess around with a 3U NS8K and 4U AT800DE and i can tell you AT800DE is definatly quicker then NS8K when i play a double game
Even the NS is head light, i still find the AT goes faster as doing
net intercept/returning smashes in doubles. Its a rahter obvious difference as you do it so often in double games telling me that the AT is faster. So i would assume the contribution is directly from the 4U weight of the AT vs NS's 3U.
As NS8K and AT800DE r 2 soo different racket, the difference between head light/head heavy is rather clear. The AT800DE's head heavy design really wellcomes you to smash so don't be mislead with the "Defensive" wording.
Plus the racket feel so light that when i first got the AT
i'm worried that the thin shaft is gonna break in half if i go all out on a smash.
I guess thats why Dink would rate the AT800DE as consistent as it shows
good response on both attacking and defending attributes.
I loved it to guts and it really takes the spot light from the NS8K.
