For Yonex fans, I just want to share pictures comparing Yonex Nanospeed 8000 rackets which I have and consider one of them is fake. You can also respond and share your experiences on this. 1st pic (racket at the back is considered as original which has hollogram in the logo SFC and has larger size fonts of Solid Feel Core).
2nd pic (On the grip, gold color seems to be different in color intensity where racket on the right is considered as the original one. This does not mean to discriminate the racket which has PBSI logo. In other words, racket which has PBSI and SP coding still can be considered as original when it comes in the 1st factory quality).
3rd pic...Judging from the engraved production and country distribution code on grip, the left racket doesnt seem to be well-engraved (not showing white color). The left racket has SP coding and once again I do not want to discriminate the SP coded racket even though the right one has JP coding.
The grip size of the one on the left looks smaller than the one on right although it says G4 for the left & G5 for the right one...
4th pic (in the form of brand new racket the original one should be tagged by white sticker on the grip containing barcode and code of weight&grip size such as 3U5, 2U4, etc. However, this clue cannot be used if we want to make authenticity comparison of used rackets)
5th pic (The NS8000 fake that I have is taller compared to the authentic. As you can see, the authentic one cannot reach the brown folder after the racket was precisely standing side by side)
6th pic (There is a different at the typical underneath green bottom cap: the fake/upper one has again 4 digits serial code ended with SP letters. Nevertheless, both rackets state Japan. In my experiences, tournament rackets like MP99/100, AT700/800 or NS should state Japan. YY rackets with lower prices sometimes can appear as Made in Taiwan or China in which I consider as well as authentic rackets)
7th pic (The status Made in Japan after YY Yonex in the plastic grip for brand new NS8000 should exist otherwise I doubt the authenticity. This clue can be denied particularly for YY racket which is not for tournament or not for proffesionals. Furthermore, grip texture for NS8000 has to be redball-type. In fake racket I do not even see any red color when it was brand new.)
8th pic (hopefully the last one): Comparing the bag, the upper one is given when buying the fake racket. There are lots of clear differences such as grey line, white line, misaligment of spacing and also the used materials. Last suggestion: Take a good look before buying NS8000 especially the one sold at ebay. Wait for your comments.
fake ones over ebay is tough call, as the fake sellers can always use authentic number and pix to cover themselve over anyways i think the shrink wrap gives a lot of club to what is fake and real, i have yet to seen a fake one that wrap around the handle the same way as the real one from your pix, i think the shade on the rackets are different as well
sorry about that. Since my digicam is being borrowed by my friend then I used digicam from the camcorder. Anyway, at least you can still see the difference between fake and authentic.
i must say that this is one of the poorer fakes we've seen in the forum. it's quite clearly a fake with many of the tell-tale signs. still interesting to look at though.
Real och not real, plz help. Hello! I´m a real newbie at this forum! Just registerd... I´m about to buy a NS8000, and now when i´m reading about theese fake raquets i´m really getting nervous... :crying: I have 2 pictures of the one i´m about to buy, can you tell me if it´s a fake or a real one? It´s never used and the guy im buying from buyed it on a journey to china. The Yonex symbol at the "cone" on the handle seems "real". But he said that the wrapping aroud the handle is completly black. (pardon my english...) // Stefan from Sweden
