I read BlueJeff's review of the 0.65 mm Pacific polyester string. It is less durable than BG-66!!! Has anyone tried the thicker version in 0.68 mm? It is called the PolyPower 68. The string is German made and pre stretched .
Well, polyester is a very hard material for string. I will get a few packs and try out and report to BF'ers.
Will see. BlueJeff said the 0.65 mm version lasted him over several hours Vs. 3 weeks with the BG-66!!! Hopefully, the 0.68 mm will make a huge difference in durability. Repulsion should be good with polyester strings.
You think there is any correlation between "super nylon" and "polyester" strings? The SOTX BS-963 is 0.68mm "super nylon", has very good feel, great repulsion and so far, very durable.
Absolutely None!!! Polyester and nylon are chemcially different. I guess you are talking about the way this string actually performs. We will see . . .
Just a thought, can I use my old polyester and combined with my wife's nylon to make a super string? Any one want to go in this business with me?
Great! The string arrived two days ago and strung Woven 7 to 30 lbs X 33 lbs last night. I took a few hits inside my room. Here is an initial impression: (1) very heavy string for 0.68 mmm -> lots of material (2) very consistent and high quality finish (German Made polyester multifilament) (3) very thick for 0.68 mm (4) quite responsive for just popping the bird around my room compared to BG-70 Pro (5) The outer sheath makes the string very slippery. (6) It's a different type of string in the stringing department. It feels like a fishing line and doesn't recoil and twist. Will extensively test it on Sat and will let CAppy75 and Sir CD-ROM test it out.
