HUH? i think 68's thinness makes it have much much better feel than 65 ti, which is like WOOD! :p As for 68 ti's if you want a thin string get 80's or 85's. If you want ti's get 88ti's. 65 FOR LIEF.!

You strung them using the same tension? If so, BG68Ti should feel stiffer, as the string is thinner. ;)

i strung the 68ti at a pound less...so mayb htat is the effect...but i still think the bg 65ti's have a better overall quality...68ti is just always a couple steps behind in everything i find...mayb its the pound?

If you want that metallic sound then go metallic all the way, i.e. racquets with alloys of metal like nickel, titanium with ultra high or high modulus graphite (ala AT700 and AT800), and titanium strings.

BG68Ti sux bad. I have tried it at all tensions and the power is terrible. But once in a blue moon it does play fine. I have cut the string so many times that I wont bother with it further. It was supposed to be good on Ti rackets. But when I put the string on Ti-10, it turns the racket into crap. God help those who bought Ti-10 and had it shop strung with BG68Ti, they would probably think they bought the worst racket there is.

I have tried all the common Yonex strings, and I must say the best ones are the top end Ashaways. I would rate Yonex being the number 1 racket maker and Ashaway being the number 1 string maker. I can't wait for Ashaway to bring out some Zyex strings. These will blow the yonex strings out of the court.

I myself use only BG-85. Just a suggestion, for those people who string their own racquet, pre-strech the BG-68ti and see if it plays better.

    Have a nice weekend.

Prestretching BG68Ti can alleviate the problem a little just as tensioning that string high can make it better by reducing the titanium concentration. But BG68Ti breaks very easily at moderately high tension. Does the reward justify the hassle ? I think not.

The MicroLegendXL, MicroPowerXL, and PowerGut65 should all be good. The thinner relatives of these are supposed to be more powerful. But I find the thicker string gives me enough power for a lot of my shots to go out. I don't see the need for more power.

The trouble with strings is that the ideal tension differs for each person and for each type of string. Even if you get a good string, you have to experiment to find out what tension suits you best. If you don't have you own stringing machine it can be very expensive. Once you find the optimum tension, the power is just sweet. I was very fortunate, and accidently discovered my optimum tenion of 15-16LB for MicroLegendXL at the very beginning of my experiments. The great thing about having an optimum tension that is ultra low is the fact that strings cost me nothing over the long run as they don't break and stay permanently powerful.

Well, different tension works for different people. My point being if you change string, you have to start over again to find the optimum tension. the tension good for one string is not necessarily good for another.

If BG65Ti does it for you, then there's no need to change.

I use BG68Ti on one of my racquets @ 20lbs.

I think it's fairly good string, nothing spectacular, Fairly good control but not the best, probably more power than control with this string in My opinion.

I'll probably try BG80 next, as I'm not sure Ti strings quite suit me, but it's certainly good enough to play with for me.

I think BG68Ti is nice too.. It isn't the best string, but at least it doesn't break as soon as BG80 etcetera...

I like these strings and in my opinion I would prefer these strings than the bg80's, for the 68ti to be decent it would have to be strung at 24lbs+ me thinks...
