how do you deal with players who look at the opposite directions of where they want to hit. esp at the net. like looking right (obviously) and then purposely sendin a tight crossnet to the other side. subconsciously i believe mani will follow the head direction and only realize when the shuttle lands on the other side.... how do you counter this? and is this deception worth practising?
don't fall for it! This is the most silly kind of deception, with little racquet skill involved. As a general rule, look only at the shuttle, and move after it is struck.
Watch the contact!!! It tells you everything. Once your opponent contact's the shuttle, you know exactly where it will go.
To counter, like B-Knight and Cheongsa stated, wait for it. Deception is definitely worth practicing, it's one of the skills you can acquire in Bad.
a fun skill to practise for especially at net. just don't overdo it, its worthless watching those net rusher flying to the oppostie direction as the brid is going.
