I notice a lot of the men's singles players using Yonex SHB-98 shoes, but I'm guessing you were asking about rackets?

I can only provide what type of string / racquets they were using in the 2004 Olympics, not tensions (sorry) http://www.tagsports.co.uk/olympics-data.htm

It is interesting to see that Sigit and Tri Kusharyanto were using 68ti!

You just need to try out different tensions until it suits your playing style. Follow the string tensions that the Pros will not do any good. They have their own preference.

Agree with Ants... If I string my racket at 30 lbs, that might be good for some pro players, but it will cost me a lot of rackets!

It really depends on who strings your racquet. The real question is whether the individual is used to 30 lbs.

hi you all! thanks for the respons. But i'm still lost in my string tension-dilemma. I'm playing already 6months with , i think, quite a high tension.(you've got to excuse me for not knowing the right tension, because i'm new to the badminton world.) And the problem is: how hard i hit the shuttle, it still doesn't go as hard as i want. It's like i'm not hitting it hard enough to get that hard smash. And if i watch the matches of lin dan or hidayat, it seems they aren't using a lot of power to get that hard smash or long clear: it's like their racket are doing a lot of the work. So my question is: what's the best string to make it easier to hit harder? Low tension or high? if so, what tension would you recommend?
    Thanks.

They are able to produce that power with what looks like less effort because of their technique, not their string tension. Give Peter Gade or Lin Dan a racket strung at 20 lbs instead and I'd imagine they can still hit clears and smashes with ease. Best to take a look at your technique and see where it can be improved! I'm constantly evaluating mine...
