Yup...got the news from either Kompas or Jawa Post a few days ago.
He will be greatly missed.....and I think Flandy Limpele has a high chance of being paired with Sigit Budiarto once Candra retires.

One youngster, Rian Sukmawan has also left the Pelatnas, so, his partner (Rendra Wijaya, who is incidentally Candra's brother) is now left without a partner.

It's time for the young pairs like Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan, Hendra Gunawan/Joko Riyadi, Yoga Ugikasah/Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki and probably the pair just got into Pelatnas, Bona Septano/M. Aksan to rise to the occassion and show that Indonesia's MD still has a future.

With Pia Zebadiah now in Women's Singles team, it will be interesting to see how she perform in the coming months. I presume she will be participating in tournaments such as the Phillipines, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Chinese Taipei Opens).

Oh, how my heart breaks! How can he do this when the Indonesian team needs him the most? He will be sorely missed and I agree, this is a good chance for younger pairs to rise to the occasion, I also heard about Pia Zebadiah, let's see what she can do...

Yaaaa Chanarong Ratanseansuang! lol hes retiring in the next year or so. He will be hugely missed by the Canadian badminton community espcially at the Glencoe! He's introduced the game of badminton to thousands of Canadians and trained what is regarded as the best Canadian singles badminton player to date. Jamie Paulson.

Bringing tears to my eyes guys... :crying:
Sigit is gonna have a hard time finding someone like candra to complement him as well as training back up to that kind of partnership, how about he partner with candra's brother !!! then we can still see some budiarto and wijaya action.:D

too bad one of my favourite player is retiring :crying: :crying: :crying: . one good thing for him is that he is retiring at his highest peak. in this way, everyone will remember him.

So, let us predict which pair will be the next No.1 after them (i guess the danes r retiring too).

 Why not wait untill after the World Championship?? So close only a year ago and instead of having to wait two years it's only one year now. Best thing I can think of is the new scoring system as a reason not to go to the WC especially with someone like Sigit as a partner there is bigger risk of an upset.

He might wind up here in our back yard --- LA. Who knows ?? Maybe OCBC could use another retired player to pump up US level of play in the world scene ??
