It's all technique mate. Nothing more. There are lots of threads on the forum. Just search baseline clearing and you'll get an answer.

a bit OT:
I find it more rewarding to play gals who are clearly better than you than men (who are clearly better than you). Guys usually lose interest, get frustrated, or simply just tank it.

Girls just relish beating guys (no matter how much better they are) so they give genuine effort.

If you lose, you still get rewarded (as Dink said)
